about
Our first Single released out of our future EP to come.
A track that started off as a simple chord progression saved as a phone recording, would be combined with lyrics and melody written in the Covid-19 lockdown to begin our up beat song. The rest of the arrangement would join soon after, over seen by non-other, Taavi-Kasperi Kausalainen. A four to the floor beat with a disco bass line sets the pace and feel for the song, then joined by Clavinet and rhythm Ukulele to soon finish the demo. for an up coming festival we needed an extra sound so we asked Will Campbell to join the gig. Having no existing parts for E Guitar, Will wrote the line that would become one of the key parts to finish the songs sound, style and groove. Will joined us again for the recording session as we madly respected his playing and deserves recognition.
Stand Still invites you to groove along whilst getting reminded that we are "human beings" not "human doings". In stressful times where the external or the internal, find a quiet place, take in your surrounding, breathe and just be.
The track is a reminder that stopping in your tracks can give you a deeper perspective.
